Full job description

Role Overview
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Production Operative / Packer to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate machining centres, ensure high-quality output, and help maintain a safe and organised working environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operate machinery in line with company and customer standards
Consistently achieve productivity and quality targets (85%+)
Inspect components before and after machining, reporting any issues
Load materials, pack finished products, and de-burr parts as required
Accurately complete timesheets and production paperwork
Carry out daily cleaning and basic health & safety checks

Detailed Duties

Machine Operation: Set up and shut down machines, load programs, change coolant, carry out weekly lubrication, and use hand tools as needed
Quality Control: Identify correct raw materials and report any quality concerns promptly
Cleaning & Housekeeping: Perform daily cleaning (floors, swarf removal), weekly deep cleans, and rail preparation/cleaning
Health & Safety: Complete daily H&S check sheets and report any hazards or concerns
Efficiency: Maintain high productivity through accurate time recording and effective use of Load N Go processes
