Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Hotel Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to the highest standards, ensuring exceptional quality and presentation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a prestigious hotel environment, delivering memorable dining experiences for our guests. The Chef de Partie will play a vital part in maintaining our reputation for excellence and innovation in cuisine.

Responsibilities

Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to hotel standards and menus
Assist in the supervision of junior kitchen staff and ensure smooth kitchen operations
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen
Collaborate with the head chef and sous chefs to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes
Ensure all food preparation meets quality specifications and presentation standards
Manage stock levels, monitor ingredient freshness, and assist with ordering supplies as needed
Support the training of new team members in food preparation and safety procedures
Serve food efficiently during service periods, ensuring guest satisfaction is achieved

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly within a professional kitchen environment
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Previous restaurant or hotel kitchen experience is highly desirable
Excellent culinary skills with an eye for detail in presentation
Ability to work under pressure during busy service periods while maintaining high standards
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
A passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences

Pay: From £31,100.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

Musselburgh EH21 8PY: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
