Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be involved in various outdoor and construction-related tasks, contributing to landscape maintenance, site preparation, and general upkeep. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in horticulture, gardening, and construction work to develop their skills within a supportive environment. The position is paid and suitable for those eager to gain practical experience in diverse labouring duties.

Duties

Assisting with landscape maintenance, including planting, pruning, and lawn care
Operating hand tools and power tools safely for various tasks such as digging, cutting, and assembling
Using excavators and other machinery for site preparation and earthworks
Installing and maintaining irrigation systems to ensure efficient water distribution
Supporting construction activities by moving materials, assisting with site setup, and cleaning work areas
Performing routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency
Assisting with gardening and horticultural tasks to promote healthy plant growth
Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations at all times

Skills

Previous experience or knowledge in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is advantageous
Mechanical knowledge related to the operation and maintenance of machinery such as excavators and power tools
Proficiency in using hand tools for various labouring tasks
Ability to operate or learn how to operate machinery such as excavators and other construction equipment
Strong understanding of site safety procedures and maintenance practices
Good organisational skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately
Physical fitness to perform manual labour over extended periods in outdoor environments
A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills related to construction, gardening, or maintenance tasks
