Come and work for... CITY HIRE in Feltham. We are currently looking for drivers for both our 3.5t and 7.5 tonne trucks - to deliver tools and access equipment to sites in and around London.

As a Driver you will be expected to...

Perform all duties in compliance with legal/statutory regulations
Follow company and O Licence guidelines
Complete a daily vehicle check and defect reporting process
Be responsible for proper load security in line with transport legislative guidance
Complete final load checks
Keep in line with Drivers EU Hours/WTD and tachograph compliance
Conduct vehicle defect checks before leaving the depot
Keep your DCPC hours up to date
Complete any training requested by the company
Be flexible and willing to assist any part of the operation
Communicate and coordinate with internal departments
Uphold excellent customer service
Comply with all company polices & procedures
Use a PDA both to check your load and to affirm all deliveries and collections
Confirm the accuracy of product returns/collections whilst on site with the customer
Assist with loading and unloading vehicles
Assist in the orientation and training of new team members where requested

Skills:

Valid driver's license with appropriate category for operating both 3.5 & 7.5-tonne vehicle
Proven experience as a delivery driver. For 7.5t positions, preferably with experience driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle
Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
Strong time management and organizational skills to ensure timely deliveries
Ability to work independently and make decisions on the road
Good communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues
Physical stamina to handle loading/unloading of goods and perform repetitive tasks
