Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Au Pair to join a welcoming family environment. The successful candidate will provide attentive childcare while immersing themselves in a new cultural experience. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop childcare skills, learn new languages, and enjoy a rich cultural exchange. The position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to contribute positively to a child's development while gaining valuable international experience.

Duties

Assisting with the daily care and supervision of children, including organising activities and ensuring their safety
Preparing meals and snacks suitable for children’s dietary needs
Supporting children with their homework and educational activities, including teaching basic English or French as needed
Accompanying children to school, appointments, or recreational activities using personal or family vehicle
Maintaining a clean and organised play and living area for the children
Engaging children in educational and recreational activities to promote their development
Assisting with light household chores related to the children's needs, such as laundry or tidying their rooms

Requirements

Experience in childcare, nannying, or teaching young children is preferred
Valid driving licence and confident driving skills for transporting children safely
Fluency in English; knowledge of French is considered an advantage
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage daily routines effectively
Warm, patient, and nurturing personality with excellent communication skills
Ability to adapt to different cultural environments and work independently within a family setting
Basic first aid knowledge is desirable but not essential

This role provides an enriching experience for individuals passionate about childcare and cultural exchange. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, responsible, and eager to contribute positively to the family’s daily life.

Pay: £12.91-£21.10 per hour
