Full job description

Job Summary

Blaxton Aggregates is seeking an organised, reliable, and efficient Weighbridge Office Assistant to join our team. This varied role combines weighbridge operations with general office administration, helping to ensure the smooth and accurate processing of inbound and outbound vehicles within our quarry environment.

The successful candidate will have excellent organisational and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and experience in administrative and invoicing tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately record vehicle weights, registrations, and other weighbridge data.
Produce and manage Waste Transfer Notes and associated documentation, to the EA standard.
Maintain accurate records of all transactions in accordance with company procedures.
Ensure compliance with site safety policies and procedures.
Communicate professionally with customers, drivers, and internal departments.
Support general office administration, including filing, reporting, ordering supplies, and document management.
Assist with invoicing and related administrative processes.

Skills and Experience

Essential

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Experience with invoicing procedures and administrative duties.

Desirable

Previous weighbridge or quarry administration experience.
Knowledge of waste transfer documentation.

Working Hours

This is a part-time position working 2.5 days per week, including a full day every Friday.

Current operating hours are 7:30am to 4:30pm. Winter operating hours may vary slightly to accommodate seasonal daylight changes.

28 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays and Christmas closure), pro rata.

Working Environment

This role is based within an active quarry. Candidates should be comfortable working in an industrial environment where conditions may be dusty, muddy, and subject to varying weather conditions.
