Locations: Cheshunt (EN7) & Tottenham (N17)
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £28,000 - £29,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: Day Shifts (10:30am - 10:30pm)

About the Role

As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you'll become a trusted and consistent adult in the lives of the young people you support. You'll help create a safe, nurturing and structured home environment where children feel secure, respected and encouraged to achieve their goals.

Working as part of a dedicated team, you'll provide emotional, practical and therapeutic support while promoting independence, confidence and positive life experiences.

No two days are the same, but every day offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Your Responsibilities

Provide high-quality emotional, practical and social support tailored to each young person's individual needs.
Support daily routines including education, meals, appointments, activities and the development of independent living skills.
Build positive, trusting relationships that promote confidence, resilience and emotional wellbeing.
Act as a keyworker, contributing to care planning, placement objectives and positive outcomes.
Use therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches to encourage positive behaviour and emotional development.
Help create a safe, welcoming and nurturing home environment.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with Ofsted standards and organisational policies.
Participate in team meetings, supervision sessions and reflective practice.
Engage in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

About You

We're looking for caring, resilient and motivated individuals who are passionate about helping children and young people thrive.

You'll have:

Experience supporting children or young people within residential care, social care, education, SEN, youth work or a similar environment.
A compassionate, dependable and child-centred approach.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
An understanding of safeguarding, professional boundaries and trauma-informed practice.
A commitment to working full-time day shifts within a residential childcare setting.

The following would also be beneficial:

A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or a willingness to work towards achieving it).
Experience supporting young people with emotional and behavioural needs.
A full UK driving licence.
