Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills in English, a willingness to drive to various locations, and a strong understanding of care plans. This position is vital in delivering high-quality care and enhancing the lives of those we serve.

Duties

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
Support individuals in maintaining their independence while ensuring their safety and comfort.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on care plans.
Document care provided and any changes in residents' conditions accurately using IT systems.
Participate in the development and implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Engage residents in social activities to promote mental well-being and community involvement.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to drive to various locations as required by the role.
Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
Basic IT skills for documentation purposes are advantageous.
A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is essential for success in this role.
