Full-Time Brunch Chef

Location: Kirkintilloch
Job Type: Full-Time
Working Hours: 7:00am and 5:00pm across 4/5 days
Pay: £13-£14 per hour

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and reliable Brunch Chef to join our café team. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a range of fresh, high-quality brunch dishes while helping to maintain a smooth and efficient kitchen service.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, enjoy working in a busy café environment, and take pride in producing consistently delicious and well-presented dishes.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of brunch and café dishes to a high standard.
Follow recipes and presentation standards consistently.
Prepare ingredients and complete kitchen prep before service.
Work efficiently during busy breakfast and brunch periods.
Ensure dishes are cooked and served promptly.
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and portion control.
Keep the kitchen and workstations clean, organised, and hygienic.
Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures.
Monitor stock levels and communicate any shortages or requirements.
Minimise food waste through good preparation and portion control.
Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure a smooth service.
Assist with menu preparation, specials, and other kitchen duties when required.

About You

The ideal candidate will:

Have previous experience in a café, restaurant, or professional kitchen.
Have a genuine passion for cooking and good-quality food.
Be confident working during busy service periods.
Be organised, reliable, and punctual.
Have excellent attention to detail.
Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Have a positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to the team.
Have a good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
