Job Overview

We are seeking a professional and welcoming Hotel Receptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for delivering exceptional guest services and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic hospitality environment, providing personalised assistance to our guests and maintaining the high standards of our establishment. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a passion for hospitality and excellent communication skills. This role will involve weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures
Manage guest reservations, cancellations, and modifications efficiently
Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions
Handle guest enquiries via phone, email, or in person with professionalism and courtesy
Process payments accurately using the hotel’s booking system
Address guest concerns promptly to ensure a positive experience
Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the reception area
Collaborate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to meet guest needs
Uphold security procedures by verifying guest identities and managing access control

Skills

Excellent verbal communication skills, including strong phone etiquette
Organisation skills with attention to detail in reservation management and record keeping
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to assist diverse guests effectively
Previous hotel experience or background in guest services is advantageous but not essential
Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and customer service excellence
