Procurement Executive

Job Title: Procurement Executive
Reports to: Procurement Account Manager
Location: CVP Studley, Warwickshire
Salary Band: £24,784 – £28,000 per annum plus discretionary bonus after probationary
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Working pattern: Office-based, with potential for informal hybrid working by agreement. The role will require at least 60% of working time to be spent at CVP’s Studley office.

About the Role

CVP is looking for a proactive, organised and commercially minded Procurement Executive to join our successful Procurement team at our Studley site in Warwickshire.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy, varied and supplier-facing role, where no two days are quite the same. The successful candidate will play an important part in ensuring CVP has the right stock, at the right price, at the right time, while helping to keep our internal teams and customers fully informed.

The role will suit someone who is confident, accurate, responsive and has prior purchasing or procurement experience and has the confidence to bring fresh ideas to our friendly, forward-looking and fast-moving business. You will be joining a strong and supportive team with good opportunities to broaden your commercial exposure, build supplier relationships and develop your career over time.

Key Responsibilities

As Procurement Executive, you will support the day-to-day purchasing activity across a selected group of supplier accounts, while also helping to manage stock movements between CVP’s UK and Belgium operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

Managing a select portfolio of supplier accounts, including stock ordering, supplier communication, pricing updates and internal follow-up actions.
Monitoring stock levels, reviewing purchasing requirements and placing purchase orders for both stock and customer back orders.

· Working with the Procurement Account Manager and wider team to identify repetitive or inefficient processes and suggest practical improvements.

· Contributing to the responsible use of digital tools, automation, and AI where these could reduce administration, improve accuracy or support better procurement decisions.

· Supporting the testing and adoption of agreed improvements, ensuring that appropriate checks and controls remain in place.

Negotiating with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, suitable availability and strong commercial terms.
Building and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers through regular communication, updates and meetings.
Managing stock transfers between CVP’s UK and Belgium operations in both directions, including the associated paperwork and internal system updates.
Obtaining and updating supplier lead times, estimated arrival dates and delivery information.
Keeping CVP’s internal systems accurate and up to date, including the ETA Manager.
Communicating expected stock arrivals, allocations and delays to the Sales and Sales Support teams.
Following up with suppliers on outstanding orders, changes, delays and delivery queries.
Tracking purchase orders to ensure goods arrive on time and in line with business requirements.
Assisting with order amendments, stock queries and supplier-related actions.
Reporting purchase invoice discrepancies to the relevant departments and helping to resolve them.
Supporting the warehouse team with shipment, delivery and stock discrepancy queries.
Booking collections with CVP vans, courier companies and freight forwarders where required.
Maintaining supplier information and account details within CVP’s internal systems.
Supporting wider Procurement team activity as required.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who is organised, positive and confident working across multiple priorities. Previous procurement or purchasing experience is highly beneficial, although attitude, accuracy and willingness to learn are equally important.

The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience in a purchasing, procurement, stock control, supply chain or supplier-facing administrative role.
A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Experience using CRM, ERP or stock management systems.
A strong understanding of purchasing processes and supply chain procedures.

· A positive and practical approach to technology, process improvement and automation, with an interest in developing knowledge of how AI can support procurement activity.

Evidence of identifying or contributing to improvements in a previous role
A collaborative approach, with the ability to learn from experienced colleagues as well as share ideas and knowledge.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
The confidence to liaise with suppliers and internal teams in a professional manner.
The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
A responsive, practical and solution-focused approach.
The confidence and potential to take on greater responsibility as the role and Procurement function develop
