Full job description

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable Front Desk Receptionist to join our operational team. As the first point of contact for members and visitors, you will play a key role in delivering outstanding customer service while ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the reception area.

This is a seasonal position, running from April to October, with opportunities for additional shifts between November and March. Shifts will be Saturday and Sundays with optional early and late shifts, hours vary from 5:30 starts and 22:00 finishes. Additional cover may be required during staff holidays.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Provide prompt, efficient, and high-quality customer service.
Process payments accurately and follow all financial procedures.
Answer customer enquiries in person, by telephone, and via email.
Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked reception area.
Comply with all company Health & Safety policies and smoke-free legislation.
Carry out all duties to a consistently high standard.
Undertake any additional tasks as requested by your line manager.

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will:

Have excellent customer service and communication skills.
Be confident using computers and handling cash transactions.
Be friendly, approachable, and able to remain calm under pressure.
Be organised with good attention to detail.
Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Show initiative and a willingness to learn.
Previous reception, retail, hospitality, or customer service experience is desirable but not essential.
