Job Title: Operations Support Lead

Salary: £15 - £16 per hour (depending on exp)

Job Type: Full-Time / Office Based

Location: Castle Donington, DE74 2JB

Role Overview

The Operations Support Lead plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day efficiency of the business by providing operational and administrative support, while overseeing the bookings team on a daily basis.

This role acts as a central point of coordination, ensuring processes are followed, tasks are completed accurately, and operational activities run smoothly. The position does not carry full management responsibility but provides guidance, support, and structure to the team.

Key Responsibilities

Team Oversight

Act as the primary point of contact for the bookings team for day-to-day queries
Provide guidance and support to ensure consistency in working practices
Assist with prioritisation of workloads where required
Promote adherence to company processes and standards

Operational Support

Provide direct administrative and operational support to senior management
Assist with the coordination of operational activities across the business
Prepare, organise, and manage operational data, reports, and documentation
Monitor workflows and ensure tasks are completed efficiently

Coordination & Communication

Support communication between bookings, engineering, and administrative functions
Ensure information is accurately shared between teams
Follow up on outstanding actions and maintain progress on operational tasks

Process & Compliance Support

Support the implementation and consistent use of internal processes
Identify areas for improvement within day-to-day operations
Assist in maintaining accuracy and compliance across operational activities

Problem Resolution

Handle day-to-day operational queries and issues
Resolve routine problems independently where possible
Escalate more complex issues appropriately

Key Skills & Experience

Strong organisational and administrative skills
Good understanding of operational processes (ideally within a service-based environment)
Ability to coordinate and prioritise multiple tasks
Confident communicator with the ability to support and guide a team
High attention to detail and accuracy
Proactive and solutions-focused approach

Role Boundaries

This role:

Provides support and oversight, but does not carry full management responsibility
Does not hold direct accountability for departmental performance
Focuses on coordination, support, and consistency, rather than strategic decision-making

Summary

The Operations Support Lead is a pivotal support role within the business, helping to ensure operations run smoothly by combining team oversight with strong administrative and coordination capabilities. The role supports both the bookings team and senior management, contributing to overall operational efficiency without direct management accountability.

Pay: £15.00-£16.00 per hour
