About the Company

We are a well-established UK supplier of fire protection equipment, mechanical switches, sensors, pumps, valves, and pressure control systems, supplying sprinkler contractors, M&E contractors, distributors and OEM manufacturers across the UK.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Engineer to support both new business development and account management.

The Role

This is a B2B technical sales role combining internal sales, account management and business development within the engineering and fire protection sector.

Key responsibilities:

Generate new business with fire protection companies, M&E contractors, and OEMs
Manage and grow existing customer accounts
Sell and promote fire sprinkler systems, pump sets, valve assemblies, and mechanical/electrical products
Prepare technical quotations and follow up on sales enquiries
Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across product lines
Provide technical support and product advice to customers
Work closely with internal teams on product selection and project requirements
Identify new product opportunities and support product development
Occasional UK travel for customer visits

Requirements

Understanding in B2B sales, internal sales or technical sales
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to manage multiple quotes, enquiries and projects
Proactive, target-driven and commercially aware
Confident in lead generation, outbound calls and winning new business
Ability to learn and sell technical products (pumps, valves, sprinkler systems, M&E equipment)

Salary & Benefits

£25,000 – £30,000 base salary
Uncapped commission (OTE £40,000 )
35-hour working week (Monday–Friday)
20 days holiday + bank holidays (rising to 25 days)
