The Role: Complex Care Support Worker

Hands on Epilepsy Experience is mandatory for this role

Hourly Rate: £14.00 per hour, increasing to £14.50 per hour once signed off as competent

Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire, S7

We provide dedicated support tailored to the individual's needs. Candidates will need to be flexible to work both days and nights

Shift Pattern:

Days: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Term time Days – 07:30 – 16:00

Nights: 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM

Shifts include a combination of days, waking nights and alternate weekends.

Contract Type

Permanent, with immediate start available.

We offer the following contract options:

Full Time – 40 hours
Full Time – 47.5 hours Term Time
Part Time – 20 hours

DBS: An up-to-date DBS is required (we can apply on your behalf if needed).

Driver with access to a vehicle: Preferred.

Right to Work: The company is unable to sponsor the employment of international workers for this role. You will be required to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK.

We recruit with a person-centred approach, meaning successful candidates will work primarily with one individual, allowing you to build meaningful relationships while providing consistent, high-quality support.

About the Person You'll Support

Are you ready to make a genuine difference in a young person's life?

You will be supporting a 16-year-old boy with an acquired brain injury and complex epilepsy.
He requires specialist support including epilepsy management, medication administration, PEG feeding, suctioning and personal care.
Experience within a hospital setting or supporting individuals with neurological conditions is desirable.
Your role will be to provide compassionate, attentive care while supporting his safety, wellbeing and engagement throughout each shift.

Key Responsibilities

Epilepsy Management – Administer prescribed medication, monitor seizure activity and respond appropriately using established seizure protocols.
Medical Support – Provide suctioning, PEG feeding and medication administration while ensuring all equipment is maintained safely.
Personal Care – Deliver respectful, dignified personal care tailored to the individual's needs.
Monitoring – Remain attentive throughout each shift, ensuring comfort, safety and wellbeing at all times.
Communication – Maintain accurate records, report changes to the family and healthcare professionals, and encourage engagement and stimulation.

Training
