Academy Recruitment Consultant – Trainee Recruitment and Sales

Location: Whiteley

Through the Performance Energy Academy, we are developing the next generation of recruitment and sales talent. This structured programme is designed to help ambitious people progress into senior consultant and future leadership positions.

Previous recruitment experience is not essential. We are looking for drive, resilience, commercial potential and a genuine willingness to learn.

The opportunity

As an Academy Recruitment Consultant, you will gain practical experience across business development, recruitment delivery, operations and marketing.

You will work in a live commercial environment with real clients, candidates and opportunities. With structured coaching and hands-on development, you will learn how to win business, manage recruitment assignments and build your own specialist market.

Progression is based on performance and demonstrated competency, not time served.

What you will learn

How to identify and approach prospective clients.
How to generate new business and develop lasting commercial relationships.
How to qualify vacancies and understand client requirements.
How to source, interview and assess candidates.
How to negotiate and manage commercial opportunities.
How to build specialist knowledge of the global energy market.
How to develop and manage a client portfolio.
How to use a CRM effectively and maintain accurate commercial records.
How to manage your own recruitment desk like a business.
How to become a trusted recruitment and workforce-solutions specialist.

What you will do

Research target companies, markets and technical disciplines.
Contact prospective clients and candidates by telephone, email and LinkedIn.
Build professional relationships with clients and contractors.
Support recruitment assignments from vacancy briefing through to placement.
Source and qualify candidates for technical vacancies.
Maintain accurate CRM records.
Work towards structured Academy milestones and commercial targets.
Collaborate with Business Development, Delivery, Operations and Marketing.
Develop the skills required to progress into a full 360 recruitment position.
