Full job description

About the role:

We are looking for a self-motivated and reliable Bookkeeper to join our friendly, family-run industrial tyre business.

This is a varied role that would suit someone who is organised, confident and able to work independently. Working hours are flexible and negotiable, making this an ideal opportunity for someone looking for a role that can fit around their existing commitments.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing day-to-day bookkeeping and financial administration.
Processing sales and purchase invoices.
Recording and reconciling financial transactions.
Managing customer and supplier accounts.
Credit control and following up outstanding payments.
Handling telephone enquiries from customers and suppliers.
Assisting with payments, receipts and general accounts administration.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Supporting the business with general office and administrative duties as required.
Liaising with the wider team to ensure accounts and paperwork are kept up to date.

Key Requirements:

Experienced with Sage and confident using the system
Confident and professional on the telephone
Self-motivated, well organised and able to manage their own workload.
Reliable and trustworthy, with excellent attention to detail.
Comfortable working independently within a small, family-run business.
Friendly, approachable and able to build good relationships with customers and suppliers.
Experienced in bookkeeping or accounts administration.
