Head Chef The West Bay Hotel – West Bay, Dorset

Are you a passionate Head Chef who thrives on creating great food, building a strong team, and leading by example?

At The West Bay Hotel, we're looking for someone who believes that a successful kitchen is built on teamwork, positivity, and a genuine love of hospitality.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead our kitchen, inspire your team, and help shape the future of our food offering.

What we're looking for

We're searching for someone who is:

- A natural leader who can motivate, support and develop a kitchen team.

- Passionate about producing consistently high-quality food.

- A team player who enjoys working alongside colleagues across the business.

- Keen to nurture, mentor and teach others, helping every member of the team grow

- Organised and confident in managing stock, ordering and maintaining GP.

- Calm under pressure with excellent time management.

- Positive, upbeat and approachable with a genuine can-do attitude.

- Committed to maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene and kitchen safety.

The role As Head Chef you will:

- Lead the day-to-day running of the kitchen.

- Create a positive, supportive working environment.

- Manage stock, ordering, wastage and kitchen budgets.

- Ensure consistently excellent food quality and presentation.

- Train, coach and develop the kitchen team.

- Work closely with management to continually improve our food offering.

- Maintain excellent food safety and hygiene standards.
