Full job description

Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Part Time Barstaff to join our vibrant hospitality team, to assist us to relaunch our local pub/restaurant, as the premier drinks/food and entertainment place in the area. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a lively environment, providing exceptional service to our patrons. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, good organisational skills, and a friendly demeanour. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is preferred to meet the needs of our busy establishment.

Responsibilities

Serve drinks efficiently and courteously to customers at the bar
Take orders and process payments accurately using point-of-sale systems
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area throughout shifts
Ensure compliance with food safety and licensing regulations at all times
Assist in restocking supplies and preparing garnishes as required
Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere
Handle customer queries or complaints professionally and promptly
Support the team during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow

Experience

Previous experience in hospitality, food service, or serving roles is desirable but not mandatory
Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service is beneficial
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional attitude
Ability to work well within a team and adapt quickly to changing priorities

Pay: £12.71 per hour
