About the Role

Greenarc Fuel Cards is looking for a confident and commercially focused Customer Relationship Manager to manage and develop a portfolio of existing business customers.

The main purpose of the role is to build strong customer relationships, improve retention and identify opportunities to grow each account. You will take ownership of your customers’ day-to-day requirements, acting as their first point of contact and ensuring they continue to receive a high level of service.

This is a varied role combining account management, customer service and telesales. You will need to understand each customer’s business, identify their requirements and offer suitable products and solutions from across Greenarc.

Key Responsibilities

As part of our Customer Relationship Management team, you will:

Manage and develop a portfolio of existing Greenarc Fuel Cards customers.
Make regular outbound calls to maintain relationships, review account performance and identify opportunities for growth.
Promote additional fuel card, EV and wider Greenarc products and services where they would benefit the customer.
Retain customers by understanding their needs and providing practical, commercially appropriate solutions.
Generate new business opportunities through referrals from existing customers.
Use LinkedIn and other appropriate channels to develop relationships and identify potential opportunities.
Handle customer questions, queries and service issues in a professional and timely manner.
Work closely with the Sales Team to support the customer journey following the initial sale.
Liaise with the Finance Team to ensure customers have appropriate credit limits and to help prevent missed-payment issues.
Help customers understand card controls, transaction limits and available purchasing options to reduce declined transactions.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records.
Understand monthly team targets and how your individual performance contributes towards achieving them.
Maintain high standards of professionalism and personal conduct.
Work effectively both independently and as part of the wider team.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Has at least two years’ customer service, account management or telephone-based sales experience.
Is confident speaking to business customers over the telephone.
Can build strong and lasting customer relationships.
Has a commercial mindset and is comfortable identifying sales and growth opportunities.
Takes ownership of customer queries and follows them through to resolution.
Is organised and able to manage a portfolio of customers effectively.
Communicates clearly and professionally with customers and colleagues.
Is motivated by individual and team targets.
Has a positive attitude and works well as part of a team.

Previous experience within fuel cards, fleet services, energy, financial services or another business-to-business environment would be beneficial but is not essential.

Applicants must have the right to work in the United Kingdom and be able to reliably commute to our Burnley office.

£28,500 basic salary plus commission.
Monday-to-Friday working with no weekends.
25 days’ annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
