Nestled on the edge of the stunning Yorkshire Dales, The Skipton Hotel is a beautiful waterside destination offering guests warm hospitality, fantastic food, and unforgettable experiences. From relaxing leisure breaks to weddings, celebrations, conferences and special events, our kitchen is at the heart of everything we do.

As our Head Chef, you'll have the opportunity to lead a talented kitchen team while creating exceptional food across a wide variety of outlets and events. This is far more than a standard restaurant role—you'll be involved in everything from wedding breakfasts and bustling conferences to seasonal menus, afternoon teas, private dining and our popular hotel restaurant.

What You'll Be Doing

Leading, motivating and developing a dedicated kitchen team.
Delivering consistently outstanding food across the restaurant, weddings, conferences and private functions.
Managing food costs, stock control and kitchen budgets.
Maintaining the highest standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
Working closely with the management team to continually enhance the guest experience.
Inspiring creativity while ensuring smooth day-to-day kitchen operations.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience as a Head Chef or an experienced Sous Chef ready to step up.
Strong leadership skills with a passion for developing others.
Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
A genuine love of food and creating memorable dining experiences.
Calm under pressure with the ability to manage multiple services and events.
Sound knowledge of food safety, allergen management and kitchen compliance.
