Experienced Gardener Required – 1 Day Per Week (Long-Term) – Lancaster

We are looking for an experienced and reliable gardener to maintain a large private garden in Lancaster.

This is a long-term position for one 8-hour day per week, with work continuing throughout the winter months at 4 hours per day. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work and has a keen eye for detail to keep the garden looking its best all year round.

Requirements:

Proven gardening experience is essential.
Must provide your own tools and equipment.
Must have a suitable vehicle or trailer to remove green waste when required.
Good knowledge of plant care, pruning, hedge cutting, lawn maintenance, weeding, and seasonal garden maintenance.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
Experience maintaining large gardens is preferred.

The role includes:

Lawn care and edging
Hedge trimming and pruning
Weeding and border maintenance
Planting and general garden care
Leaf clearance and seasonal tidy-ups
General upkeep to ensure the garden remains in excellent condition throughout the year
Removing green waste from the property and taking it to the local recycling centre/tip as required. Any trips to dispose of green waste should be carried out within the allocated working day.

Location: Lancaster

Hours: One 8-hour day per week (flexible on which day), reduced to 4 hours per day during winter months

Pay: £20 per hour
