Full job description

Job Overview

Healthy Investment are looking to recruit an experienced Finance Assistant, based at their offices in Bury, Greater Manchester.

The role will suit someone looking to broaden their finance experience in a long-established financial services firm. Study support towards a professional qualification (for example AAT, CIMA or ACCA) is available if wanted, though it is not essential.

Responsibilities

The role involves using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and the Society's bespoke software to create journals and reconcile bank accounts. The work will involve purchase ledger, sales ledger and reconciliations - for example processing and matching invoices, reconciling supplier and customer statements and helping to resolve queries.

You will also have responsibility for managing direct debit collections and processing commission and fee payments to financial advisers, and for keeping member and adviser accounts up to date.

You will also deal directly with members, answering questions about their direct debits, new investments or withdrawals. This will involve calculating the value of their investment using either our policy administration system or in Excel.

You will support the month-end process, assisting with reconciliations and reporting, and help ensure the finance function runs accurately and to deadline.

Proven purchase ledger and sales ledger experience is essential, ideally gained in a similar accounts role.

A good working knowledge of Microsoft applications, particularly Excel, is essential. Experience of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, or a similar accounting system, would be an advantage.

Pay: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
