Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Self-Employed Painter and Decorator to bring vibrant, professional finishes to a variety of projects. This dynamic role offers the flexibility of self-employment while allowing you to showcase your expertise in construction painting and decorating. Your primary focus will be transforming spaces with precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality. Strong communication skills and reliable transportation are essential to coordinate effectively with clients and team members, ensuring each project exceeds expectations.

Duties

Possible Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes with skill and precision across diverse environments.
Manage your own schedule, estimating project timelines and coordinating work to meet deadlines efficiently.
Communicate clearly with clients about project scope, progress, and any adjustments needed throughout the process.
Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste responsibly after each project.
Use driving skills to travel between multiple sites safely and efficiently, ensuring timely project completion.
Follow health and safety regulations diligently to create a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Experience

Proven experience in construction painting, decorating, or related trades with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
Valid driving license with reliable transportation for traveling between job sites.
Fluency in English for effective communication with clients and suppliers.
Demonstrated ability to interpret project plans, specifications, and technical instructions accurately.
Excellent communication skills to liaise confidently with clients, suppliers, and team members.
Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to painting and decorating work environments.
