Location: Wombourne
Hours: Full Time – 42.5 hours per week
Pay: Weekly
Working Pattern:

Monday to Friday
7:30am – 4:30pm
No weekend working
No Bank Holiday working
Christmas shutdown

Reports to: Warehouse Manager

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative with a valid Flexi Forklift Truck Licence to join our busy warehouse team.

This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing and loading goods while maintaining high standards of accuracy, customer service and health & safety. You will work closely with the wider warehouse team to ensure customer orders are fulfilled efficiently and on time.

As we operate within a small warehouse team, flexibility and a willingness to support colleagues are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Pick, pack and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Operate a Flexi Forklift Truck safely to move stock throughout the warehouse.
Load and unload internal and external deliveries.
Check incoming deliveries against delivery notes and report any discrepancies.
Check outgoing orders against delivery documentation before dispatch.
Put stock away into the correct warehouse locations.
Identify and report damaged or defective stock immediately.
Carry out daily Forklift Truck safety checks and report any defects.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the warehouse and yard.
Ensure all warehouse activities are completed safely and efficiently.
Follow all Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
Report any Health & Safety concerns to the Warehouse Manager.
Assist with stock movements and other warehouse duties as required.
Support colleagues during busy periods and provide cover where necessary.
Undertake any other reasonable duties requested by management.

Skills & Experience

Essential

Valid Flexi Forklift Truck Licence.
Previous warehouse experience.
Good attention to detail.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work accurately under pressure.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Flexible and proactive approach to work.
Good understanding of Health & Safety within a warehouse environment.

Desirable

Experience using warehouse stock control systems.
Experience loading and unloading vehicles.
Manual handling experience.

Working Environment

As part of a small warehouse team, everyone works together to ensure customer orders are completed efficiently. Team members are expected to support each other when required and adopt a flexible approach to daily duties.

Holiday requests must be coordinated with the wider warehouse team to ensure operational cover is maintained.

Health & Safety

Employees are responsible for taking reasonable care of their own health and safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by their actions.

You will be expected to:

Follow all company Health & Safety procedures.
Wear the appropriate PPE.
Report hazards, accidents and near misses promptly.
Operate equipment safely and in accordance with training.
Cooperate with management to ensure statutory Health & Safety requirements are met.
