Full job description

Delivery Manager

£40,000 - £46,000 per annum dependant on relevant skills and experience.

Location – Home-based with regular travel across a designated region (North of England and the South/South East of England) and to our office as required. We are currently recruiting Delivery Managers to cover designated geographical regions across the North of England and the South/South East of England. Successful candidates must be able to travel across their designated region as required and maintain a regular presence within it.

We are the Football Foundation - the Premier League, the FA and government’s charity that delivers outstanding grassroots facilities, more and better places to play, transforming lives and communities where it is needed most.

As a Delivery Manager, you'll lead the development of a diverse portfolio of community sports facility projects from initial concept through to funding approval. Working closely with local authorities, County FAs, football clubs, schools, community organisations and funding partners, you'll identify opportunities, shape high-quality projects and ensure they deliver lasting community impact.

You'll oversee community engagement, assess project feasibility, prepare funding recommendations and work alongside our Technical Project Managers to ensure projects are strategically aligned, financially viable and ready for successful delivery. This is a varied role that combines project development, stakeholder engagement and strategic relationship management, offering the opportunity to make a real difference to communities across England.

What are we looking for?

We're looking for someone with experience in grant assessment, programme or project management, sports development - or a related field - who enjoys building strong partnerships and delivering projects that create lasting community impact.

You'll have experience managing multiple projects, assessing project viability and preparing high-quality reports to support investment decisions. You'll possess excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills, together with a genuine passion for improving communities through sport. An understanding of sports facility development, local government or the community sports sector would be beneficial, but is not essential.

What can we offer you?

The salary band for this role is £40,000 - £46,000 per annum, dependant on relevant skills and experience.

You will be entitled to 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays. The Foundation also offer a generous pension scheme (8% employer contribution), free healthcare provision, a monthly gym subsidy, death in service benefit, access to selected match tickets and events at Wembley
