The Loopy Shrew is a modern British restaurant and bar with rooms located in the vibrant heart of town centre. We pride ourselves on delivering a warm, welcoming atmosphere paired with high-quality food and drinks to our guests.

Job Summary

We’re on the lookout for an energetic and detail-oriented Bar Supervisor to lead our bar team. You must have good experience making and designing cocktails, and have previous experience in a busy bar holding high standards.

In this role, you’ll oversee daily bar operations, ensure excellent service, and maintain a lively yet professional environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, has strong leadership skills, and enjoys creating memorable experiences for guests.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the bar staff to ensure smooth service.
Assist in food preparation and ensure all beverages are prepared according to standards.
Oversee the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the bar area, adhering to food safety regulations.
Manage stock levels, place orders for supplies, and monitor inventory to minimize waste.
Support team members with serving drinks, handling customer inquiries, and resolving issues promptly.
Lead by example in delivering exceptional hospitality, fostering a positive team environment.
Ensure compliance with licensing laws and health & safety regulations at all times.

Experience

Proven supervising or team management experience in a bar or restaurant setting.
Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and beverage service.
Previous experience working in hospitality environments such as restaurants, hotels, or bars.
Familiarity with food safety standards and food production processes.
Experience with kitchen or culinary operations is a plus, including barista experience or restaurant experience.
Strong leadership skills combined with excellent communication abilities.
Passion for delivering outstanding customer service and creating a lively atmosphere.
