Full job description

Position: Commis Chef / Chef de Partie / Senior Chef de Partie (Full-time)

Location: BOK BOK / FUKU, Freight Island, 11 Baring Street, Manchester, M1 2PZ

We are looking for passionate and motivated chefs to join our growing kitchen team at BOK BOK / FUKU. Whether you’re looking to start your career as a Commis Chef or have experience as a Chef de Partie or Senior CDP, we want individuals who are passionate about quality food, consistency, and working in a fast-paced kitchen.

No experience is required for Commis Chef positions – full training will be provided. If you have the right attitude, willingness to learn, and enjoy working as part of a team, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook menu items following company recipes and specifications
Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef with daily kitchen operations
Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation, and portion control
Ensure all food is prepared safely and served to the highest standards
Keep all kitchen areas clean, organised, and fully stocked
Follow food safety, hygiene, and allergen procedures at all times
Assist with stock rotation, deliveries, and inventory management
Work efficiently during busy service while maintaining attention to detail
Support and mentor junior team members where appropriate
Contribute to a positive and professional kitchen environment

What We’re Looking For:

Commis Chef: No previous experience required – full training provided.
Chef de Partie / Senior Chef de Partie: Previous experience in a professional kitchen preferred.
Passion for cooking and delivering high-quality food
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Reliable, organised, and hardworking attitude
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred)
