Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Private Client Solicitor specialising in Wills and Estates to join our busy and dynamic legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with clients to craft personalised estate plans, draft wills, and manage estate administration with precision and care.

You will play a vital role in providing expert legal guidance on succession planning, trusts, and probate matters, ensuring clients’ wishes are clearly articulated and legally sound. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help clients secure their legacy while navigating complex legal frameworks confidently.

This role has the opportunity for prompt career progression for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Draft, review, and execute wills tailored to clients’ specific needs and circumstances
Advise clients on estate planning strategies, including trusts, powers of attorney, and tax implications
Manage the administration of estates, including probate applications and estate settlement procedures
Negotiate terms of estate documents with beneficiaries, executors, and other stakeholders to ensure clarity and fairness
Provide clear guidance on legal requirements for estate transfer and succession laws
Maintain meticulous records of client interactions, legal documents, and case progress
Stay informed about updates in estate law to ensure compliance and best practices in all client matters

Experience

Proven experience as a Private Client Solicitor or in a similar role focusing on Wills and Estates
Strong negotiation skills to effectively advocate for clients’ interests during estate planning and settlement processes
Excellent communication skills to explain complex legal concepts clearly to clients from diverse backgrounds
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail
Knowledge of current legislation related to wills, trusts, probate, and estate administration
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing individual caseloads effectively

Pay: From £38,000.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Cardiff (Cardiff, Cardiff)
