About ITeach

Established in 2012, we're a managed service provider with a large education base, supporting everyone from primary schools and training providers to plumbing firms and housing associations across South Wales. We're a team of nearly 30, growing steadily, and known for looking after our customers properly - long-term relationships, genuinely good service, and a team they love.

As we grow, we're investing in dedicated leadership for that team - a single manager who keeps everyone organised, supported and performing at their best. That's the role we're recruiting for.

The role

This is a genuine people-leadership role, reporting directly to the Managing Director. You'll be the manager for the whole team - the person who sets clear expectations, develops people, keeps standards high, and handles issues directly and fairly when they arise.

We're forward-thinking about our technical solutions and processes, and everything we do is driven by what's best for our customers and our team. Your job is to make sure those high standards are consistently upheld - that every team member keeps improving and delivers the exceptional service our customers deserve. This isn't a technical role: the technical direction is set, and your focus is on leading the people who deliver it.

You won't be the only person giving direction - we have experienced people leading in their own areas. You'll be the one they rely on, with a clear view across the whole team: making sure everyone is supported, managed and held to the same high standard. Our people are brilliant with our customers; what we want from you is the structure, accountability and management that lets them consistently do their best work.

What you'll do

Managing and developing people (the heart of the role)

Be the day-to-day manager for the whole team
Set clear expectations and hold people accountable to our standards
Address performance and conduct issues promptly, fairly and directly - through coaching where possible, and formal processes (with HR and director support) where needed
Develop your people through regular one-to-ones, honest feedback and support
Identify and develop both existing and future leaders - spotting potential early and helping people grow into bigger roles
Run probation reviews and return-to-work meetings
Protect a positive, professional culture while steadily raising the bar

Standards and accountability

Make sure our processes are followed consistently across the team - and improve them where you can
Take ownership of issues raised by our technical lead, directors or customers, and drive them through to a proper resolution
Hold people accountable for following through - keeping track of outstanding actions so work doesn't stall
Help new starters settle in and feel supported from day one

Customer and business support

Support clear communication between our operational, technical and administrative teams
Help protect the high service standards our customers expect
Support the directors on operational projects and business-improvement work

About you

You're a natural manager of people - organised, fair, and confident enough to have the difficult conversation as well as the encouraging one. You earn respect from experienced colleagues rather than demanding it.

You'll have:

Proven experience genuinely managing people - developing strong performers and addressing underperformance
Confidence handling difficult conversations, performance issues and conduct matters fairly and calmly
The gravitas and emotional intelligence to manage capable, customer-facing professionals and win their trust
Strong organisational, time-management and communication skills
A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to own decisions
Strong Microsoft Office skills and comfort using business systems
A full UK driving licence (the role involves some travel across our South Wales sites)

Experience in a service-based business is a real advantage. IT-sector experience is a bonus, not a requirement.

An enhanced DBS check is required for this role.

Salary of £47,000–£52,000 depending on experience
