Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and friendly Cashier to join our vibrant team! In this role, you will be the welcoming face of our store, providing exceptional customer service while efficiently handling transactions. Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and provide attentive service at the checkout counter
Accurately process sales transactions using point-of-sale (POS) systems, including cash, card, and mobile payments
Maintain a clean and organized checkout area to ensure efficiency and safety
Assist customers with product inquiries, merchandising, and locating items throughout the store
Upsell relevant products or services to enhance customer satisfaction and store sales
Handle customer questions or concerns with professionalism, demonstrating excellent communication skills and phone etiquette
Manage cash register operations with basic math skills, ensuring accurate change and transaction records
Support inventory management by restocking shelves and organizing merchandise as needed
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely checkout processes during busy periods
Promote a positive shopping experience through friendly interaction and active listening

Requirements

Multilingual abilities are highly valued; fluency in English or other languages is preferred
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with diverse customers and team members
Basic math proficiency for handling cash transactions accurately
Excellent organizational skills to manage checkout stations efficiently
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours
Knowledge of phone etiquette for assisting customers via phone or in person
Experience in merchandising or retail sales is a plus but not required; training will be provided
Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are an advantage for serving a diverse customer base
