Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Customer Service Administrator to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, providing essential administrative support while helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of our transport department.

As a key member of the team, you will act as a central point of coordination, supporting customers, drivers, and internal colleagues while maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive administrative support to the transport office.
Handle incoming telephone calls and email enquiries in a professional and efficient manner.
Accurately log, update, and maintain transport job records.
Communicate effectively with customers, drivers, and internal departments.
Identify and escalate operational issues or irregularities to management.
Support compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant legal requirements.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure information is updated in a timely manner.

Skills & Experience

Previous administration experience, ideally within a transport, logistics, or operational environment.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively.
A proactive approach and willingness to support the wider team.
Knowledge of routing systems, telematics, or heavy haulage operations would be advantageous but is not essential.
