Full job description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team. In this role, you'll help deliver high quality care and education to our children, fostering a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment.

What We’re Looking For:

We're looking for someone who loves working with children - someone who is kind, creative, and committed to helping each child become the best version of themselves. You’ll work closely with our team to plan and deliver fun, educational activities that support every aspect of a child’s development.

Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that support learning and development
Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and work colleagues
Ensure a clean, safe, and stimulating environment at all times
Observe, assess, and record children’s progress accurately
Uphold and promote safeguarding policies and child protection procedures
Support children with daily routines such as meals, toileting.
Attend essential training courses (e.g., First Aid, Food Hygiene, Safeguarding) – all paid for and organised through management
Follow nursery policies and stay informed on relevant childcare legislation

Requirements

Fluency in written and spoken English
A genuine passion for early years education
Patience, compassion, and a positive attitude
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to stay calm under pressure and multitask effectively
Experience in activity planning and record-keeping
Understanding of child development and age-appropriate activities
Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting (preferred)

Working Hours

Please note working hours are full time and will be discussed during the interview process. We do aim to be flexible and supportive, working alongside your availability wherever possible.
