Full job description

Purpose of the role

To run reception at our Glenfarg head office: welcoming visitors, answering and directing calls, booking jobs onto our system and providing admin support to the wider team.

We employ around 170 people across three sites: our headquarters and Eco Park at Glenfarg in Perthshire, a site at Shore Road in Perth, and our Inverness operation. As an independent, family-owned business, we make decisions quickly, and high standards sit at the heart of everything we do.

Key responsibilities

Provide a warm, professional welcome to all visitors, customers and suppliers, managing sign-in at our head office. Handle enquiries by phone, email and face to face, directing them to the right colleagues and departments. Answer customer calls and book jobs onto our transport management system (Purgo), delivering the highest levels of customer service. Full training provided. Deal with customer questions and queries, making sure accurate answers are given promptly and politely. Accurately input data into our systems, keeping records correct and up to date. Follow safe working practices and our ISO standards, taking reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of others. Support the wider team with other duties as required.

What you'll bring

A friendly, professional manner, you put people at ease in person and on the phone. Reliability and good organisation, things don't slip on your watch. A happy-to-help attitude and the ability to get on with people right across the business. A willingness to learn, no qualifications or previous experience needed, we will train the right person
