Full job description

Role Overview

Support supply chain operations while ensuring efficient delivery of construction materials and customer service excellence.

Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end procurement processes for building materials, ensuring timely availability and cost efficiency.
Oversee inventory levels, optimise stock control, and coordinate with suppliers to prevent shortages or overstocking.
Utilise ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS to monitor stock movements, generate reports, and streamline operations.
Coordinate logistics activities including transportation scheduling, freight management, and delivery tracking to ensure on-time delivery.
Collaborate with project teams and vendors to forecast material requirements based on project timelines and specifications.
Analyse supply chain performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance operational effectiveness.
Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, inventory data, and logistics documentation in compliance with organisational policies.
Lead cross-functional teams involved in supply chain activities, fostering effective communication and problem-solving.

Skills

Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS is essential for efficient operations management.
Strong understanding of supply chain principles, logistics planning, and inventory control practices.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Analytical mindset with the capability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
Effective communication skills for liaising with suppliers, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
Experience in managing procurement processes within the building materials or construction industry is desirable.
