Full job description

Contract: Part-time
Working Days: Wednesday, Thursday & Friday
Hours: Rotating 9-hour shifts between 7:15am and 5:45pm
Salary: Competitive – above National Minimum Wage, dependent on experience

About the Role

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Level 3 qualified Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly nursery team. The successful candidate must have previous experience working within a nursery setting and must be confident in the role of a key worker, building strong relationships with children and their families while supporting each child's learning and development.

You will work as part of a supportive team to provide high-quality care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), ensuring children are safe, happy and able to thrive.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care and learning opportunities for children aged 0–5 years.
Act as a key worker, planning for and monitoring the development of your key children.
Build positive partnerships with parents and carers, sharing information about children's progress and wellbeing.
Plan and deliver engaging activities that support children's individual learning and development.
Maintain accurate observations, assessments and records in line with EYFS requirements.
Promote children's health, safety and wellbeing at all times.
Work effectively as part of the nursery team to create a warm, welcoming and stimulating environment.
Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies and procedures.

Essential Requirements

Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare (or equivalent recognised qualification).
Previous experience working in a nursery setting.
Experience of working as a key worker.
Good knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding requirements.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
