About Us
Players Party Rooms is a busy city-centre entertainment venue specialising in parties and private events. We host multiple time-critical bookings per day, delivering high-energy experiences in a fast-paced environment. Our success relies on strong organisation, calm leadership, and excellent customer care.

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and confident Venue and Bar Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations and lead the team during shifts. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives under pressure, enjoys working with people, and takes pride in running smooth, well-organised events.

You will be the senior point of contact on shift, ensuring staff are supported, parties run to schedule, standards are upheld, and customers leave with a positive experience.

We are looking for the right person to join us in September, with the recruitment process taking place in August.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Events

Oversee daily venue operations, including opening and closing procedures.
Lead the delivery of parties and events, ensuring timings, room setups, and transitions run smoothly.
Manage multiple bookings in a fast-paced environment while maintaining control and attention to detail.
Work closely with the General Manager to prepare for upcoming bookings, peak periods, and seasonal demand.

Team Leadership

Supervise, support, and motivate staff during shifts.
Lead by example, maintaining professionalism, energy, and clear communication.
Ensure new staff are inducted and trained effectively.
Provide on-the-spot guidance and problem-solving when issues arise.

Customer Experience

Deliver consistently high standards of customer service.
Act as the main point of contact for parents and group organisers during events.
Handle customer queries or complaints calmly and professionally.

Health, Safety & Standards

Ensure compliance with health & safety and environmental health regulations.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation across all areas.
Promote a safe and secure environment for staff, guests, and children at all times.

Cash, Stock & Admin

Oversee cash handling, till reconciliation, and accurate sales recording.
Manage stock levels, inventory checks, and ordering in line with company procedures.
Use POS systems and basic computer software confidently.

Sales & Upselling

Support revenue growth by promoting party packages, upgrades, and merchandise where appropriate.
Encourage staff to upsell as part of a positive customer experience.

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within hospitality, leisure, or events.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
Excellent communication skills and a confident, approachable manner.
Highly organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple priorities at once.
A practical, solution-focused mindset with a strong work ethic.
Comfortable working weekends and peak event times.

This is an evening/night time job and you must be available during Fridays and Saturdays. One weekend off will be scheduled each month.
