Full job description

Join our dynamic team at a renowned establishment in the heart of the city. As a Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in delivering daily operations including a variety of events, ensuring exceptional food quality, and fostering a positive work environment. We are looking for industry professionals to be part of a diverse Events & Restaurant team, with experience in a high-volume operation, who cultivate a continuous development cycle, with high attention to detail.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering excellent food quality in our Brasserie & Bar and during many of our corporate and private events.

Proactively contribute to the day-to-day operations.
Work as a team to deliver an excellent experience for our guests.
Report directly to your line manager
Manage and execute a fresh food menu alongside a talented team
Order and control stock levels
Manage junior members of staff and monitor their work load and productivity
Contribute to the completion of Health and safety documentation on a daily basis
Build good relationships and positive communication channels with the wider team and suppliers

Our Ideal Candidate:

1+ years sous chef experience management
Operational experience working in a multi-faceted business
Catering experience
Exceptional written and spoken English
Good understanding of and experience working with MS Office and stock management systems
Friendly and approachable, with a positive and flexible attitude to work
Used to working under your own initiative, as a team and on your own
Excellent administrative and organisational skills
