Full job description

Job Summary
Northants Fire are seeking an Office Admin Assistant to join their team to assist the Office Manager with the smooth running of the office.

Given the nature of the role, you will be expected to be good with English, both written and verbal, proficient in computer skills (Word/Excel) and have a good telephone manner, as you will be expected to answer incoming calls, assisting with post, emails, filing and photocopying. You will be keeping our customer databases up to date and producing certificates from our unique fire packages, so attention to detail is essential. Previous office experience would be beneficial but full training will be given. We are seeking a friendly, helpful and trustworthy individual, who is organised and self motivated.

Responsibilities
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and data entry
- Manage office supplies and place orders when necessary
- Answer and direct phone calls with professionalism and courtesy
- Assist in scheduling appointments and meetings
- Maintain electronic and paper filing systems
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Support the office manager with administrative tasks as required

Qualifications
-Computer skills
- Organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Previous experience is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to type accurately and efficiently
- Familiarity with office equipment and computerised systems
- Knowledge of basic clerical procedures
