Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our vibrant hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for exceptional service, and a comprehensive understanding of bar and restaurant functions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a team, ensure high standards of food safety and quality, and contribute to an outstanding guest experience. Previous experience in supervising bar or restaurant settings is essential, along with a solid background in food preparation, culinary arts, and hospitality.

Duties

Supervise the daily operations of the bar, ensuring smooth service during shifts
Lead and motivate team members to deliver excellent customer service and maintain high standards
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the bar area
Manage stock levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients and beverages
Train new staff on service procedures, safety protocols, and company policies
Handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally to uphold the establishment’s reputation
Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and support professional development initiatives

Skills

Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong team management skills with the ability to lead by example
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production and handling
Familiarity with serving techniques and hospitality principles
Leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills
Previous experience as a barista or in hotel or restaurant environments is advantageous
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Good communication skills with an approachable manner
