Full job description

Cameo is a white-label, channel-only IT services partner with over 35 years of heritage. We deliver hardware maintenance, break-fix, field engineering, warehousing, distribution, and asset lifecycle services to leading managed service providers and IT resellers across the UK. We are a privately owned business of approximately 180 people, operating from multiple UK locations with a growing international presence in Europe and the United States.

Our platforms sit at the centre of how we operate. As we scale, we are investing in the development team and the systems it builds, so we can deliver more, faster, without compromising the reliability our partners depend on.

About the role

We're a busy development team building and running the operational platform at the heart of our business. As we scale delivery, we need someone to keep the wheels turning day to day; making sure work flows smoothly across the board so that the team stays unblocked and every sprint has what it needs to run well.

This is a hands-on coordination and delivery-support role, not a strategic product-management position. The value you bring is in being organised, reliable and consistent: keeping the board clean, chasing tickets to completion and being the dependable point of contact that keeps everyone moving. If you enjoy bringing order to busy work boards and take satisfaction in a tidy, well-run board, this is for you.

What you'll do

Organise the board. Keep the Jira board clean, accurate, and up to date - move tickets across stages, keep statuses honest, tidy up stale or duplicate items and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
Keep work moving. Check in with team members regularly to unblock stalled tickets, chase updates and make sure work progresses toward completion.
Prepare for sprint ceremonies. Make sure tickets are ready, groomed, and properly filled out (clear descriptions, acceptance criteria, estimates, assignees) ahead of planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
Run the admin of the sprint cadence. Help schedule and organise ceremonies, capture actions and notes, and follow up on outstanding items.
Stay in touch with stakeholders. Provide simple, clear progress updates, relay questions between stakeholders and the team and keep everyone informed of task statuses.
Maintain delivery hygiene. Ensure the backlog is orderly, tickets follow the team's conventions and reporting/board views stay accurate and useful.
Flag risks early. Spot when work is slipping, blocked or unclear, and raise it promptly to the right people.

Who we're looking for

We're after an organised, dependable, personable coordinator - someone who's genuinely good at keeping things tidy and keeping people moving. Not so much a highly technical or strategic hire.

Must-haves

Comfortable and confident with agile/Scrum - you understand sprints, backlogs, stand-ups, planning, reviews and retrospectives. And importantly how a healthy board should look and flow.
Excellent organisation and attention to detail - you keep things accurate, tidy and up to date and you don't let items slip.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills - you're friendly, clear and easy to deal with and you can chase people for updates without friction.
Comfortable with tools like Jira (or similar boards) and general day-to-day admin/data-entry work.
Self-directed and reliable - you can be trusted to keep the board and the cadence running without being managed closely.
Strong written and spoken English.

Nice to have

Some technical or software-development awareness - enough to understand what tickets are about and talk sensibly with developers (you do not need to be technical or write code).
Exposure to Jira administration, sprint reporting, or agile ceremonies in a software team.
Any Scrum/agile familiarity or certification (e.g. Scrum fundamentals) is a bonus, not a requirement.

Organised and consistent - you bring order to busy, moving work and keep it that way.
Proactive and dependable - you chase things down, follow up, and close loops without needing reminders.
Team-first attitude - you're here to support the team's delivery and make everyone's life easier, not to direct the work or the technical decisions. The team lead determines the work and you make sure things move across the board.

To set expectations clearly:

Not a senior Product Manager or Product Owner role. You won't own product strategy, roadmap or make prioritisation decisions.
Not a technical or engineering role. No coding is required.
Not a people-management role. You don’t need to manage people or stakeholder expectations, you report statuses and keep things moving. Some requirements gathering is likely also required.

It is a role for a well-organised, agile-savvy coordinator who keeps delivery running smoothly and the board immaculate.

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
