Advertising Telephone Sales Executive

Full Time or Part Time | Office Based | Werrington, Peterborough

Competitive basic salary (higher for experienced advertising sales professionals) plus uncapped commission.

If you love sales, enjoy speaking to people all day and get a buzz from winning new business, this could be exactly what you're looking for.

We're looking for an experienced Advertising Sales Executive to join our friendly team, selling advertising space within our established community magazines.

This is a predominantly telephone-based outbound sales role. You'll spend most of your day speaking to local business owners, introducing our magazines, following up previous enquiries and existing customers, building relationships and converting sales.

If you're happiest with a headset on, making calls, building rapport and closing business, you'll thrive here.

If making outbound sales calls all day isn't something you'd enjoy, this probably isn't the right role.

What you'll be doing

Selling advertising space in our established community magazines.
Making a high volume of outbound sales calls each day.
Following up quotations and previous conversations.
Speaking to existing advertisers about renewing and expanding their campaigns.
Building long-term relationships with local businesses.
Working towards achievable sales targets.
Earning uncapped commission.

We're looking for someone who...

Loves speaking to people.
Enjoys outbound telephone sales.
Is confident picking up the phone again after hearing "no".
Is self-motivated and organised.
Wants to build relationships rather than use hard-sell tactics.
Enjoys working in a small, friendly team.

Ideally you'll have experience in:

Advertising sales
Media sales
Telephone sales
Telesales
B2B sales

If you've sold advertising before, we'd particularly love to hear from you. A higher basic salary may be available depending on your experience.
