Due to continued company growth, we are seeking to appoint a Class 1 Tanker Driver / Operator to join our Kirkby in Ashfield depot.

Responsibilities

Operate HGV Class 1 vacuum tankers for the safe collection, transportation, and disposal of liquid waste, sludge, and other materials.
Carry out both local and nationwide deliveries and collections, ensuring adherence to driving hours, route plans, and client schedules.
Complete pre-use inspections and routine maintenance checks on vehicles and equipment to ensure operational safety and compliance.
Safely load and unload materials using appropriate hoses, fittings, and pumping systems.
Maintain accurate records of collections, deliveries, disposal notes, and waste transfer documentation.
Work closely with dispatch and operations teams to coordinate routes and schedules efficiently.
Adhere strictly to environmental, and Health & Safety regulations at all times.
Carry out tank cleaning and decontamination work as required in line with operational procedures.
Represent Quest Waste Management professionally on client sites, maintaining high standards of customer service and site conduct.

Requirements

Full UK driving licence (maximum of 6 penalty points).
Driver CPC (required).
Tachograph Card (required).
Valid CSCS card (or willingness to obtain).
Keen interest in drainage, waste management, or related utilities sectors.
Practical, hands-on attitude with the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Basic IT skills and a positive approach to learning new systems and processes.
