Full job description

HOLME TREE LTD is a specialist furniture manufacturing company based in Ashby-De-La-Zouch, producing premium bespoke kitchens and furniture for the whole home. With a well-equipped factory located alongside our showroom, we are proud of our reputation for exceptional craftsmanship, quality, and customer service.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Bench Joiner Production Supervisor to join our highly experienced team to lead in the manufacture of our furniture and supervise production.

The Role

This is a hands-on senior position combining workshop supervision with the manufacture of high-quality bespoke furniture. You will be responsible for overseeing production, maintaining quality standards, managing workflow, and supporting the development of a small but highly skilled team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the future of our workshop operations while leading by example on the factory floor.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise the day-to-day operation of the workshop
Maintain production schedules and ensure projects are delivered on time
Lead, motivate, and develop a small manufacturing team
Promote a culture of quality, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement
Manufacture bespoke kitchens, bedrooms, and furniture to the highest standards
Produce and oversee the manufacture of doors, frames, dovetailed drawer boxes, and other bespoke joinery components
Work closely with design and installation teams to resolve technical challenges
Monitor quality control throughout the production process
Organise production workflows and allocate resources effectively
Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures
Support business growth through efficient workshop management and continuous improvement initiatives

Essential Requirements

Significant experience in bespoke furniture or high-end joinery manufacturing
Strong background in manufacturing bespoke kitchens, bedrooms, and fitted furniture
Experience producing 5-piece doors, drawer boxes, frames, and bespoke joinery components
Excellent woodworking and cabinet-making skills
Competent in the safe operation of woodworking machinery
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Strong organisational and planning skills
Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team
Understanding of manufacturing health and safety requirements
Positive attitude with a willingness to take ownership and responsibility

Desirable Skills

Previous supervisory or management experience within a manufacturing environment an advantage
CNC machinery experience an advantage but not essential
Experience improving production processes and workshop efficiency
