Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Assistant to support our procurement and supply chain operations. This role involves managing purchase orders, liaising with suppliers, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials within our organisation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of microsoft office and be confident using IT systems.

Duties

Process purchase orders via our ERP system which is MS Dynamics
Coordinate with suppliers and logistics providers to ensure timely delivery of goods
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and update relevant databases
Responsible for making sundries purchases for the business
Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement needs and facilitate seamless communication
Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures
Other adhoc duties to support the department

Experience

Experience working in an admin based environment would be desirable
Experience using ERP system would be beneficial
Prior experience in administrative roles within a purchasing or supply chain department is advantageous
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise confidently with suppliers and internal teams

Pay: From £13.75 per hour
