Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our culinary team, day time hours with 4 kitchens across 2 businesses. The opportunities are endless!

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a flair for creating exceptional dishes.

This role involves overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and delivering a memorable dining experience for our guests.

As an experienced Chef will play a pivotal role in menu development, staff management, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient and smooth operations.
Oversee food production, preparation, and presentation to uphold quality standards.
Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, considering seasonal ingredients and current trends.
Manage food safety protocols in compliance with health regulations and company policies.
Organise staff schedules, delegate tasks, and monitor performance to foster a motivated team environment.
Ensure all dishes are prepared in accordance with recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
Maintain inventory levels by ordering supplies and managing stock control effectively.
Train new staff members on kitchen procedures, safety standards, and customer service expectations.
Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Monitor kitchen cleanliness and hygiene practices to meet regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an Experienced Chef or Head Chef / Cook within a busy cafe / restaurant or hospitality environment.
Extensive culinary knowledge with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques.
Demonstrable supervising experience with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure.
Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork, motivation, and high performance.
Experience in menu development, cost control, and inventory management is highly desirable.
Previous restaurant experience is essential; hospitality background will be advantageous. Passion for food!
A passion for culinary arts coupled with a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
