About Soho Shopfitting

Soho Shopfitting is a professional shopfitting company delivering commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects for clients across the UK.

We are looking for a reliable, organised and experienced Office Administrator / Bookkeeper to support the day-to-day running of our busy office.

This is a varied role involving bookkeeping, invoicing, payment chasing, supplier administration and general office support. The successful applicant will need to be confident working independently, managing multiple tasks and keeping accurate financial and project records.

Key Responsibilities

Preparing and sending customer invoices
Monitoring outstanding invoices and customer accounts
Contacting customers regarding overdue payments
Sending payment reminders and customer statements
Carrying out general bookkeeping duties
Recording incoming and outgoing payments
Processing supplier and subcontractor invoices
Checking invoices against purchase orders and project information
Maintaining accurate customer, supplier and subcontractor records
Reconciling bank transactions and company accounts
Recording business expenses and receipts
Liaising with the company accountant
Assisting with payroll information and timesheets where required
Producing basic financial reports
Answering telephone calls and responding to emails
Filing and maintaining project documentation
Assisting with purchase orders and supplier enquiries
Supporting project managers with general administration
Helping to ensure office and project records remain organised and up to date

About You

The ideal candidate will be:

Organised, reliable and able to manage their own workload
Accurate and attentive when dealing with financial information
Confident contacting customers regarding outstanding payments
Professional and polite when dealing with customers, suppliers and subcontractors
Experienced in bookkeeping, invoicing, accounts administration or credit control
Confident using email, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
Familiar with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage
Comfortable working in a busy office environment
Able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
Responsible when handling confidential company and financial information
Friendly, approachable and able to work as part of a small team

Previous experience within shopfitting, construction, building services or a similar industry would be helpful, although it is not essential.

Pay: £15.00-£19.00 per hour
