Sales Surveyor – Shutters & Blinds | OTE £60,000–£70,000 | Peterborough

3–5 days per week (flexible for the right person) | Competitive base + uncapped commission

Earn what you're worth, measuring and selling beautiful products

Stilton Shutters & Blinds is Peterborough's specialist in made-to-measure shutters, blinds, curtains and awnings. Our order book is growing and we need a Sales Surveyor who can walk into a customer's home, measure with precision, and close the sale on the spot.

This is not a canvassing role. Appointments are booked for you — warm customers who have already asked us to visit. Your job is to turn those appointments into signed orders.

What you'll do

Attend pre-booked in-home appointments across Peterborough and surrounding areas
Survey and measure windows accurately for made-to-measure products
Advise customers on product options, present quotes, and close sales in the home
Hand over clean, accurate survey details to our back office and fitting teams
Own your results: your conversion rate and order values drive your earnings

What you'll earn

Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission on every sold order
Realistic OTE of £60,000–£70,000
3–5 days per week — we'll shape the diary around the right person
Mileage and equipment provided

Who we're looking for

A proven in-home or face-to-face seller — retail, home improvement, windows/doors, kitchens or similar
Presentable, articulate and instantly credible with homeowners
Meticulous attention to detail — in this trade, a wrong measurement costs real money
Results-driven with a bias for action: you chase the close, not the excuse
Mature, self-managing, and comfortable owning your own diary
Full UK driving licence
Bonus: experience measuring or selling shutters, blinds or made-to-measure products

Pay: £60,000.00-£70,000.00 per year

Application question(s):

Are you based within 35 miles of Peterborough (PE1–PE38 or bordering postcodes)?
Do you hold a full UK driving licence AND have your own reliable vehicle for home appointments?
Do you have experience selling in customers' homes (not showroom, not phone/online)?
Have you personally surveyed or measured a product that is then manufactured to your numbers (shutters, blinds, kitchens, bedrooms, windows, doors, awnings, fitted furniture)?
This role is self-employed contractor with commission-based pay (5% or 10% of net sales). Are you comfortable with that structure?
When could you start? (If currently employed, please state your notice period.)
