Full Job DescriptionMortgage & Protection Compliance Administrator

Location: Cardiff – office based
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:30–17:30
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive and based on experience and qualifications
No weekend or bank holiday working

About Arkke Capital

Arkke Capital Ltd is a growing Mortgage and Protection network based in Cardiff. We are directly authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority under FCA reference number 952414.

We provide compliance, operational and business support to mortgage and protection advisers and partner firms across the UK. Our focus is on maintaining high regulatory standards, improving advice quality and supporting good customer outcomes.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Mortgage & Protection Compliance Administrator to join our Compliance team.

The Role

The role will primarily focus on mortgage file reviews, while also supporting protection reviews, adviser training and wider compliance activities.

Working closely with advisers, administrators and the Compliance team, you will help ensure that client files are complete, suitable and compliant with regulatory and internal requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Review mortgage and protection files against FCA requirements and internal procedures.
Check fact-finds, affordability assessments, research, recommendations, suitability documents and supporting evidence.
Identify missing information, documentation gaps and potential compliance concerns.
Raise clear and constructive queries with advisers and administrators.
Assess whether recommendations are suitable and properly supported.
Identify recurring errors and file-quality trends.
Assist with adviser and administrator training.
Provide guidance on compliance expectations and file-recording standards.
Maintain accurate review records, trackers and management information.
Escalate higher-risk cases or significant concerns where appropriate.
Support wider compliance monitoring, audits and process improvements.

Skills Required

Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
Strong written and verbal communication.
Ability to provide clear, professional and constructive feedback.
Good organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple reviews and meet deadlines.
Confidence communicating with advisers, administrators and senior colleagues.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.
A professional and confidential approach.

Advantageous but Not Essential

CeMAP qualified, currently studying towards CeMAP or willing to work towards the qualification.
Experience within mortgages, protection, financial services, compliance or quality assurance.
Mortgage or protection administration experience.
Understanding of the mortgage application and advice process.
Awareness of FCA requirements and Consumer Duty.
Experience using financial-services CRM systems.
Previous file-review or compliance experience.

Training and ongoing support will be provided to the right candidate.
