Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and vigilant Door Supervisor to join our security team in Nottingham. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and staff, ensuring a safe, secure, and welcoming environment. Your energetic presence and professional demeanor will help maintain order, prevent loss, and uphold the venue’s reputation for safety. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your security expertise in a lively setting, contributing to a positive experience for all patrons and staff.

This venue is city centre based and has the potential of being a 7 day a week door for the right candidate if that is what you are looking for.

Responsibilities

Greet and manage entry of guests, staff, and contractors with professionalism and courtesy.
Conduct thorough security checks, including surveillance and CCTV monitoring, to identify potential risks or suspicious activity.
Enforce venue policies related to access control, alcohol service, and conduct to ensure safety for everyone present.
Monitor premises continuously through CCTV systems, performing regular patrols to deter theft and maintain security integrity.
Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies by coordinating with emergency services and executing first aid procedures when necessary.
Prevent loss by implementing loss prevention strategies, observing customer behavior, and managing crowd flow effectively.
Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and surveillance footage for accountability and reporting purposes.

Requirements

Proven experience in security or crowd management roles; previous door supervision is highly desirable.
Valid Door Supervisor license issued by the Security Industry Authority (SIA).
Knowledge of surveillance systems, CCTV operation, and loss prevention techniques.
Ability to perform first aid procedures confidently and calmly handle emergency situations.
Strong observational skills with attention to detail when conducting patrols or monitoring CCTV footage.
Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with guests, staff, and emergency responders.
Physically fit with the stamina to stand or walk for extended periods during shifts.
